At Global International School, we aim to nurture the students’ creativity and power of imagination. During these sessions, children are asked to create stories and share them with the entire class while the class teacher notes it down. This not only gives children the confidence to imagine, but makes them feel important.
Drawing is a form of expression and it plays an important role in enhancing children’s imagination. Almost every person has this talent for drawing and art naturally. Through drawing, we motivate students to think and express creatively.
Jigsaw puzzles teach students new facts and concepts. Solving puzzles are also a constructive way in developing skills such as shape recognition, concentration, goal setting and patience. When kids work together on jigsaw puzzles, they learn cooperation, teamwork and sharing as well.
Physical skills are important for growth, physical coordination and the movement of the body. When children play outdoors they increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and skip. It allows them to learn new things, enhances physical development and helps them acquire social skills and also strengthens motor skills.
Besides these, the teachers and the staff at Global International School are constantly coming up with new activities so that children can learn new skills and discover their hidden talents.
In addition to a host of extra-curricular activities, we also organize myriad events for our students. Some of them are mentioned below.
We dedicate one day to raise awareness among children of the environment’s fragile state and our role in conserving it. It is a day for planting saplings.
Children’s Day celebrations are a way for us to show how much we care and love our students. Teachers prepare singing and dance performances to entertain the students.
On Teacher’s Day, students arrange fun-filled activities to show their appreciation and love. It is a day of creative expression.
15th August celebrations include flag hoisting, dance, singing and other cultural activities. Children are made aware of the sacrifice of the freedom fighters of India and taught to respect the Indian flag.
Students invite their grandparents into the schools for a day, and the children find creative ways to celebrate their grandparents and show their love and respect to them.
Global International School organizes concerts where children take part in plays. Parents are invited to watch their kids singing, dancing and performing drama on stage.
